Magazine Editor Wins Writing Award

Cherry Hill, NJ - Tom Peric', the editor of HVACR Distribution Business magazine,
has been named second-place winner in the 2008 Ohio Excellence in Journalism Awards
for column writing in the trade press category.

The Press Club of Cleveland gave the award for a column dealing with the trend over
executive coaching and poses the question of whether business people really need
coaches.

"Our goal has always been to be the voice of the industry," says John Ehlen, the
magazine's publisher. "Tom's contribution is raising questions and providing answers
to issues that our readers think about."

"We regard our members as the most progressive thinkers and leaders in the
industry," says Don Frendberg, executive vice president and COO of Heating Air
Conditioning Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI). "We feel that Tom and
his team at Penton have always provided us with a first-class communications vehicle
that educates and informs our membership."

The 2008 Ohio Excellence in Journalism marks the 30th annual statewide awards
competition. These awards recognize the outstanding achievements of journalists
throughout Ohio. Out-of-state press clubs judge the more than 1,000 entries.

Since 2003, HVACR Distribution Business has been the official magazine of HARDI, the
sole trade organization representing the industry.

Peric' has been the editor of the magazine since its launch in 1999. It is the only
national trade magazine that focuses on wholesalers in the Heating, Air
Conditioning, Ventilation and Refrigeration industry.

Peric' has worked on various Penton publications that won state and national writing
awards.

He formerly worked as a business editor on a daily newspaper and on various
publications in greater Cleveland, Ohio and as a reporter in Washington, D. C.
